On Tuesday 30th JPS took part in the Spelling Bee competition, held at Wellington Silicon Oasis school. Well done to Veda Fernandes 6G, Oscar Dilworth 5F, Eshal Baig 4E, Kaiyan Wadhwani 3A and Eimaan Irfan, whom qulaified to represent their year groups.
At the Spelling Bee, each year group was faced with 10 rounds of very tricky words, which they needed to spell out verbally. The yr 6 participants were faced with words like: pandemonium, prejudicial, abysmal and slovenly.
A huge congratulations goes to Veda for winning the Yr 6 competition and Kaiyan for winning the year 3 competition. Also well done to Oscar whom ended in a tie-breaker so went forward to a challenge round where he came 2nd.
Well done to all participants – you’ve done yourselves and JPS proud!
