My trip to Dubai Eye It was a really hot day and I was waiting for my mum to leave so I could go to the Dubai Eye studio. Different emotions went through me. Was it tension or excitement? Fear or happiness? It was all a mash-up of happy and sad emotions. Finally we left at 10.20 and arrived at B216 at 10.40. As we made our way up, my mum told me to chill as i was feeling nervous. Eventually, after what seemed like an eternity later, we reached the recording studio. I took a seat and took a look at my book, Crowns and Codebreakers by Elen Caldecott. Then I looked at the control panel and heard the programme, Book Champion. At around 11.00, Imogen came and the host, Penny came to introduce us to the people and what we were going to do. As we listened to the interesting show called Book News, the emotions I had earlier were happening again. After the break I had to start speaking. After the event was over I felt relieved and my legs were like jelly. However, I really wish I could come again and do this amazing experience again! Who knows who else would come next? by Anay 5E On Saturday, Anay and I had the fantastic opportunity to do a book review on Dubai Eye radio. We were very nervous when we arrived at the studios, however we soon relaxed as the two presenters were really friendly. We had been asked to read ' diamonds and daggers' and 'crowns and code breakers' by Ellen Caldecott. The presenters talked to us about the books, the Emirates Literature Festival and ourselves. It was really interesting to see how a live show is put together from such a small room! We would like to thank Mrs Green and Dubai Eye radio for this amazing opportunity. |
